Weekly Tarot Spread: 7 Cards for Your Week

The Weekly Tarot spread lays out seven cards, one for each day from Monday to Sunday. It can help you look at the week ahead with calm attention, notice where your energy may go, and choose small ways to care for yourself and the people around you.

How this spread works

The Weekly Tarot spread works best at the start of the week, on Sunday evening or Monday morning. Take a quiet moment, think about the days ahead, and shuffle until it feels right to stop. Then lay out seven cards in a row, from left to right. The first card belongs to Monday, the last to Sunday.

Read each card as a theme for its day, not as a forecast. Ask yourself what the card might invite you to notice, try, or let go of on that day. You may also see patterns. Several cards from one suit can point to an area of life that asks for your attention, such as Cups for feelings or Pentacles for practical matters. A Major Arcana card can mark a day that may feel more meaningful than the rest.

You can write the cards down or take a photo, then look back each evening. Did the theme fit, or did the day go another way? Both answers are useful. Over a few weeks, this small habit can show you how you tend to meet your days.

The positions

  1. I
Monday. The Monday card shows the tone you might bring into the new week. It asks how you want to begin: with what attitude, what first step, or what small intention. Think of it as the door you walk through as the week opens.
  2. II
Tuesday. Tuesday’s card points to where your effort may be needed once the week is moving. It asks what deserves your energy and focus, and where you might push a little or hold back. You can read it as the day for getting things going.
  3. III
Wednesday. For Wednesday, the card asks about balance in the middle of the week. What might need a pause, a check-in, or a small change of course? It can help you see how you are doing so far and what you may want to adjust.
  4. IV
Thursday. On Thursday, the focus turns to connection and follow-through. The card here asks which plans, conversations, or bonds with the people around you may want attention before the week winds down. It can show where a little care or a kept promise might matter most.
  5. V
Friday. Friday brings a card about how you might close the busy part of the week. It asks what you can finish, celebrate, or set down, and what kind of rest or pleasure may suit you as the weekend comes near.
  6. VI
Saturday. A card in the Saturday spot looks at free time and what fills you up. It asks how you might spend your hours away from duties, whether with others or alone, and what would feel truly restful or joyful to you.
  7. VII
Sunday. Sunday, the last card in the row, invites reflection. It asks what this week may have taught you and what you want to carry into the next one. You can treat it as a quiet look back and a gentle setting of intention.

Why this spread

I like the Weekly Tarot spread because its shape follows the week itself. Seven cards in a row give each day its own small theme, so a busy week becomes easier to look at one piece at a time. It suits questions about rhythm and pacing more than big decisions, and it shows how one part of your week may lead into the next.
