I’m Joris. I build websites, and for years some of them have been about tarot. That’s how I got to know the cards: not through a teacher or a family tradition, but by writing about them, building spreads and reading what people asked. Along the way I started using them myself. Carta Serena is a hobby project: something I enjoy making, and a way to let others get to know tarot for free. The draws and the card meanings will always stay free.
To me, tarot is a mirror, not a crystal ball. A card doesn’t tell you what will happen; it gives you a different angle on what’s already on your mind. That’s why every card on this site comes with questions rather than verdicts. Draw a card, read what it can mean, and see what it brings up for you. The answer is usually yours already.
How the texts are made
I write the texts on this site with the help of AI and check them before they go online. You don’t need an account, and no machine answers your question.
